Who is the Frogmask intended for?

The Frogmask is mainly intended for urban commuting (bicycle, motorcycle, scooter ...) but it can be used by all those who want to protect themselves from dust, pollution, pollen ... It also provides effective protection against bacteria, while maintaining easy breathing.

It is neither a "medical surgical device" nor a "personal protective device (PPE)".

Can the Frogmask be worn with glasses?

No problem, provided that the glasses and the nose are well shaped in relation to the top of the mask. The 3D Mesh is ultra-breathable and the 2 nose bands prevent the hot air exhaled from going up the nose so very little fogging occurs.

Small tip in case of fogging, clean your glasses with soapy water

What does the Frogmask filter?

The mask itself does not filter. It serves as a support and ensures the sealing of the filter.

The filters meet the FFP2 standard, and guarantee a filtration rate of 94% of the particles present in the air up to 0.4 microns, responsible for serious health problems, bacteria and other allergens present in the air (dust, pollen, smoke...).

Does the Frogmask protect against Covid19?

The FFP2 filters protect the Covid wearer since 94% of the inhaled air is filtered. The 3D Mesh used to manufacture the mask is water-repellent and therefore does not let droplets through.

Why are there no valves?

Exhalation valves are an outdated technology. Today, by using the latest generation of breathable fabrics, we can easily do without them. Depending on the mask, the surface occupied by the valve represents 5 to 10% of the filtering surface. It therefore reduce inspiration.

Test results show that breathing out with the Frogmask is easier than with a mask with valves and that it causes much less fogging for eyeglass wearers.

The valves on the side of most bicycle masks are not effective as they are not in line with the flow of air exhaled through the mouth. The manufacturers of masks with valves and their specific filters ensure that you will have to buy their exclusive filters.

Valves are expensive and polluting plastic parts and are the main source of after-sales (breakage and loss).

Finally, it does not protect others if the mask wearer has the Covid, as the exhaled air is not filtered.

Is the mask available in different sizes?

Frogmask is available in sizes M, L and XL. The use of elastic materials and its adjustable velcro strap make it compatible for most adult faces, both male and female.

We do not have a child size (S) because we do not have smaller filters. The current filters would stick out on all sides on a smaller mask.

How to choose the right size?

Our tests show that in the vast majority of cases :

The XL mask corresponds to people over 1m80 tall and weighing over 80kg

The L mask corresponds to people measuring more than 1m70 and weighing more than 70kg

The M mask is for women over 1.60m tall and weighing over 50kg. The straps behind the head are too short even for a man of this size.

Is the mask compatible with a helmet?

Frogmask is compatible with all helmets: bicycle helmets, jet motorcycle helmets or convertible helmets but not full face helmets.

Can the mask be washed?

Frogmask is washable and reusable (the filters are not)

Filters, however, are not washable and must be replaced regularly.

Here is the recommended procedure for washing your Frogmask:

1- Remove the filter from the mask

2- Plunge Frogmask in boiling water to disinfect it

3- Wash your mask by hand with soapy water

4- Rinse and let dry

How long does a Frogmask last?

Frogmask has a very long life span (one to two years minimum) which depends on the frequency of use and maintenance.

The most fragile parts are the aluminum nose band to be pinched at the nose and velcro, it is necessary to take care of them.

Is there an after-sales service for your masks?

In spite of all the care taken during the manufacturing process and a rigorous quality control at the end of the production, it can happen that a mask has a manufacturing defect. In this case, it can be replaced.

What are the different layers that make up the filters?

FFP2 filters filter 94% of particles thanks to 5 different layers that work like a sieve:

1- The first layer is made of non-woven Polypropylene, which filters out large particles

2- The second layer is made of non-woven Polypropylene to filter out smaller particles

3- The third one is made of nanofibers and filters particles down to 0.4 microns

4- The fourth one is made of non-woven cotton and filters particles down to 0.4 microns

5- The fifth in non-woven Polypropylene, very soft to the skin, improves comfort

Can the filters be washed?

The filters are not washable and must be replaced when they are full (breathing becomes more difficult) or dirty.

Is the mask sold with filters?

The Frogmask is sold with 1 filter.

Single unit filters or Packs of 10 filters are also available for purchase.

How long does a filter last?

Filters have an estimated shelf life of two years from the date of production. It is recommended that they be stored in their bag in an airtight, moisture-free environment. The date of manufacture of the filter is indicated on the instructions.

The useful life of a filter depends on the pollution conditions and the frequency of use. For moderate use, we recommend replacing the filter every 2 to 3 weeks. For more intensive use, we recommend changing them every week.

A filter is full when breathing becomes more difficult. Generally, the filter becomes dirty more quickly than it is full.
