How to choose a pollution mask ?
In general, the effectiveness of a pollution mask depends on several factors, including the type of mask, the fit of the mask, and the size and type of pollutants that it is designed to filter. To determine whether a particular mask is effective at protecting against pollution, it is important to consider the following:

Type of mask :

Different types of masks, such as disposable, reusable, and respirators, have different levels of effectiveness at filtering out pollutants. Disposable masks, such as surgical masks, are designed to protect others from respiratory secretions and are not designed to filter out pollutants. Reusable masks, such as cloth masks, may provide some protection against pollutants, but they may not be as effective as disposable or respirator masks. Respirators, such as N95/FFP2 masks, are designed to filter out at least 95% of airborne particles and are often used in healthcare settings.

Fit of the mask :

A mask that fits properly is essential to provide the necessary protection. A mask that is too large or small will not seal properly, allowing particles to enter through gaps. To ensure a proper fit, hold the mask up to your face and adjust the straps or ear loops as needed.

Size and type of pollutants :

Different masks are designed to filter out different size particles and types of pollutants. Some masks are specifically designed to filter out particulate matter, while others are designed to filter out gases and vapors. It is important to choose a mask that is appropriate for the size and type of pollutants that you are trying to protect against.

The Frogmask breathing mask fits for men and women from 15, in three sizes to fit every body type and in five colours. The breathing comfort of the 3D mesh masks as well as their perfect waterproofness will delight spectacle wearers. Indeed, they are equipped with a first nasal stem on the KN95/FFP2 filter and a second one on the pollution mask, thus avoiding that the air goes up along the nose. This will prevent your glasses from fogging up. Thus it will protect you from all kind of airborn particles down to 0,4µm, whether you are a cyclist, biker or pedestrian.
